Harriet Hue
Pen and pencil were my first love, later with time and confidence I came to feel the same with brush and paint. Colour still, to this day, brings a smile to my face and being able to use it every day is a huge reward!
With a first-class Degree in Fine Art and then even more education after; learning computer design such as Adobe Illustrator and other art courses to hone my skills. I have managed to realize my childhood dream of becoming an artist!

Living on, and loving the Isle of Wight has opened my eyes to a beautiful range of powerful colours that I was not used to having around me growing up in a built-up town. I now see why people flock to this place every year, to breathe in the clean air and partake of the tranquil life by the sea.
My work currently is a mixture of such influences around me, woods, trees, sea and coastline, reflected light and semi abstract pieces constructed with colour and shape - so much more difficult to achieve than they look at first glance! I like to work on still life too for the colour exercises which help me hone my bright and 'painterly' style.
