As Far as The Eye Can See....

Updated: Jul 9

Our latest exhibition - AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE.... FRI 24TH MAY - MON JUNE 17TH '24

As we start to feel some early summer warmth in the air and blue skies start to appear......they better !

**Don't forget the Round the Island Yacht race sat 15th June '24**'

Exhibiting are -

Lynn Young - Lynn has created a series of paintings of similar colour palettes that can hang together or singularly in a room. The semi abstract locally inspired scenes are a master class in colour combining and portrayal of movement and form. The feel of the Islands coastline and Seaview particularly glow from each piece with a soft summer day vibe. Lynn's choice of natural hues and soft pastel pinks, ochres and turquoises the paintings really sing and would fit in to many room settings.

Andrew Hird - One of the favourite artists at the Gallery, he captures the beauty of that around him and the subtleness of light changing while also accurately portraying the architecture in each setting. The warmth emanating from the walls, the softness of the sand and the coolness hinted at in the water is captivating and transports you into the view. Andrew excels at captivating that moment in time we all want to keep and put on our wall to go back to as often as we like and be transported back to that place, in that moment...

Angela Sowden - Angela's work is pure soul food. Her main inspiration is the south wight where she has her Studio. She walks the beaches and cliff tops stopping to sketch and absorb the scenes, sights and smells around her to inspire her on her return to her Studio to work. Her water observation and refracted, reflected light portrayal is achieved with a dreamy intuitive touch. Beautiful.
